It's been a long time since my last I.F. post. It's good to be back. Here's an image I did for my son's birthday party invitation. The train conductor's hat gave me troubles soooo ... I just added some exaggerated shadow to the back and voila!

This week's topic was 'gravity'. This illustration is born of my not-so-fond memories of being pelted with those freakishly painful red gym balls during school-yard games of dodge ball.
I had some fun scanning my original sketch into Photoshop and rendering the ball & shadow digitally.
